It’s crunch time at GLS! As you can see from the pictures, many workers are on campus today and will be the next 3 days. The work is scheduled to be completed this Friday, Oct. 14. The playground is set to be moved to the main campus next week. It’s amazing how incredible all the work crews have been in helping us achieve this dream and vision for our school! Thanks to Semco Construction and all of the subcontractors. You’re the best!

Parents and students enjoyed a tasty start to their day! Chick-fil-A breakfast sandwiches sure hit the spot. It’s a wonderful way to connect with other students and parents over a little breakfast. If you haven’t participated, there’s always the first Friday in November. Visiting campus that day, we’ll host you for breakfast too!
Mrs. Martinez and her students chased the Gingerbread Man all over our campus. Clues were left in a variety of places and the students were hot on the crumb trail. The students followed the clues to Mr. Wittcop’s office. I wonder if they ever caught him? He was very fast…stopping only to leave a few crumbs for the students to follow.
Our middle school students have the opportunity to enjoy a variety of elective classes. Science Fair Research, Yearbook, Video production virtual foreign languages, a variety of art and music classes, as well as a Mixed Bag class where students experience a variety of topics and activities.
Let’s work together to raise funds for our athletic and technology programs as well as our teacher’s wish lists. Working together, we can make a difference!
The 2013-2014 school year got off to a great start! We want this to be the best year ever for each of our students and their families. Check out the photos from our first day.
The Young Chef’s Club campers visited Papa John’s, Red Lobster, and Publix. Mrs. Julie Sear, our 2nd grade teacher, directed the camp for these young culinary campers. It looks like they had a great time sampling many great foods from our local businesses. Thanks to everyone who made this week possible. Mr. Micah Korb, our school music director, served as the bus driver for the week.
