Drama

Drama Club includes the introduction and further development of various aspects of theatre.

Grace students in grades 5-8 are eligible to participate in the Drama Club to learn about all aspects of putting on a theatrical production for students, families, and friends during the spring of the school year.

This activity of the school is under the leadership of parent volunteers and faculty advisors.  The group meets once a week, with additional rehearsals prior to the annual musical or play production.  There is an activity fee for participation in the club.

Topics of discussion include:  basics of theatre terms and etiquette, warm-up techniques, improvisation, pantomime, stage combat, body movement, voice & articulation, monologues, character development, scene work, costuming, make-up, stage craft, audio, and lighting.

After gaining knowledge and skills, the students will have the opportunity to audition for roles in the annual drama club production in the spring that is produced by the Performing Arts Guild.
